The Cook Book

Taylor Cook releases his highly anticipated new recording The Cook Book

August 23rd, 2015 at 7:30pm at Poplar Grove in Penticton, B.C.  The Cook Book,

Taylor's first major release since For Lilia in 2009 departs from a small band

format to feature 20 of Toronto's finest musicians including multi-juno award

winner Mike Murley. The CD focuses around Taylor's new original compositions

and re-imagined arrangements of some of his earlier work. Working closely

with Rolling Stones saxophonist Tim Ries as producer, The Cook Book features

a wide range of styles and is sure to have something for everyone to gobble up

The Cook Book (2015)

Recorded on February 14th, 2011 in Walter Hall at the University of Toronto this live recording is the final result of the U of T Jazz Studies program.  The 12 disc track includes new original material as well as highlights from previous recordings.  The recording is available at all performances that Taylor is a part of.

A microcosm of the The Cook Book project this new 4 track EP features 3 new compositions by Taylor recorded with 2 different ensembles in the past year as well as an unreleased track from For Lilia, Taylor's 2009 release. The EP is available for free with Pre-Order of The Cook Book which is $20 or on its own for $10.

Taylor Cook - For Lilia (2009)

Released in July 2009 for Lilia is a recording in memory of Taylor's grand mother Lilia Passarini.  This 5 track EP, produced by Tim Ries, was recorded in New York featuring Paul Morrison on piano, James Genus on bass, Clarence Penn on drums with guest Tim Ries on sax.  Availble on iTunes.

Here We Go
Taylor Cook - Here We Go (2008)

Released in June 2008 Here We Go was Taylor's first studio recorded and was the debut of his Quartet including Jack Bodkin, Justin Gray and Robin Claxton.  Taylor followed the release with a 6 date tour of British Colombia.  Available on iTunes
